Sanchon Temple Vegetarian Restaurant, in Insadong district, about a 50 minute subway journey from my place. Lots of Buddhist-inspired stores and restaurants and temples in this area.
Lotus lanterns!
Tofu, potato, zucchini, onion soup. Warm and savory.
Teapot, tofu and seaweed. Bland.
Breaded mushrooms. Like french fries, only chewier.
Breaded zucchini and squash.
Seaweed, mountain vegetables, radishes, unnamed things.
Mountain vegetables, mountain vegetables, mountain vegetables. Spicy mountain vegetables.
Top: vegetarian kimchi; left: potatoes; bottom: celery? rhubarb? some type of root? cooked in sesame sauce. Very tasty.
Top: bland rice pudding; left: seaweed soup; bottom: woody-tasting tea.
