pupation

If, after the last post, you are wondering what a silk-worm pupa looks like, here is a pretty accurate visual of the brand of pupa I consumed:

Wow, that looks so unpleasant.

It wasn't so bad, really. It's cool and liquid-y on the tongue, and a little bit crunchy. It tastes vaguely of dirt, pretty much exactly you'd expect a grub to taste.

pam, i'm gonna vomit on your blog.

not out of judgment or lack of desire to try new things, it's just that my first reaction is "VOMIT! DO IT NOW!"

ahahahahahaha

I'm pretty sure my first (immediate) reaction was "VOMIT!" as well. But it was (almost immediately) followed by a combination of "I wonder what that silk-worm pupa tastes like"/"Well, I'm here, aren't I. I guess I'm going to eat that silk-worm pupa."

Surely my meat training is nearing completion.

Also, I'm sorry for making you want to vomit. My perceptions of vomit-worthy things are severely off-kilter these days. I promise to put up some K-pop soon so that you don't have to look at the pupae anymore.

Those look like the canned Madagascar hissing cockroaches I used to feed to my water dragon

I'm happy to know that eating canned Madagascar hissing cockroaches would not be such a wild leap for me now.

I like trying new animals, but ew. As gross as they sound they somehow manage to look even more gross. :/
